About Us
BAS was founded by Gordon Bergthold in 1980 when he left Western Farm Management Company to become affiliated, as an independent contractor, with HR Macklin & Sons, a company owned by his uncle, Hugh Macklin. He enjoyed almost 25 yrs of collaborative efforts working with top professionals in appraisal, finance, real estate aquisition, farm and ranch management and estate planning.
In 2014, Gordon and his wife Betty, moved their home and primary office to Chico, California where Gordon started in 1965 with the Farm Credit System as Manager of the Chico Office.
